Subject: cell phone communication frequencies

I was wondering what frequencies cell phones communicate on.  What other devices
operate on nearby frequencies?  What I am getting at, ultimately, here is the
issue of privacy on cell phones.  Not so much intentional interception of
communication, but how might a conversation be accidentally intercepted?  I
would also appreciate guidance in the direction where I might find more info on
this on my own.  Thanks,
