Subject: Can I Creat a new Plant with two other kind of plants

I'm a farmer, I heard about a banana tree that was combined with a apple 
tree. they cut the trees in half and put the two halfs together and they 
let the tree grow and bare its new fruit. The banana got a new taste, that 
was the whole point. I would like to know a few quick growing plants (not 
productive or any sort) that i can combine in to a new unique form.
