Our building has flourescent lighting. Some offices have occasional use. Does it cost more in electrical consumption and wear and tear of ballast and bulbs to turn the lights on/off or to just leave them on even when no one is using the office?
Someone stated that turning the lights on/off used 40 minutes of life expectancy from the bulb and ballast, is this true?
