I want to grow bacteria found on people's hands by culturing it in a nutrient agar medium, and make comparisons with hands washed in various soaps. I need to know more about agar. Would gelatin agar be appropriate for this experiment? Is there a way I could make it myself? This information will help me tremendously; I haven't been able to find anything very helpful on the subject. I am also very open to suggestions on an appropriate method for this experiment: controls, etc.

Thanking you in advance,
