perhaps 60 yrs ago i was told that ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny, and
that that rather pedantic phrase reflected stages in the development of
the embryo that were related to stages in the evolution of man, have been
told that this is wrong. if this is not a crazy question, would appreciate
an answer. thanks ever so much
