I'm currently studying about esters and the use of esters to produce everyday scents. I just wanted to know what the scents of isoamyl formate (isoamyl methanoate) and ethyl methanoate (formic ether) are. I tried searching chemifinder and flovournet home....but cannot find the accepted name of the scent. I suspect the latter one smells a little like apples. I am really stuck right now. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
