Reference resources (encyclopedias, etc.) discuss right hand rules but they do
not discuss left hand rules. In discussing magnetic fields I'm told that the
fields move. Please tell me what kinds of fields rotate clockwise and what
kinds of fields rotate counterclockwise. But don't just tell me those bare
facts. Tell me WHY some kinds of fields rotate clockwise and others rotate
counterclockwise relative to the flow of electrons in a conductor. What
forces determine field directionality and whether or not motions are clockwise
or counterclockwise?
