MadSci Network: Biochemistry |
I have search the archiveand read the link provided. The link: http://www.madsci.org/posts/archives/1999-12/944796903.Bc.r.html However the link says that cellulose is virtually insoluble in water. Does it mean that cellulose can still dissolve but slowly or completely insoluble in water? How about The article in a magazine called Nature (19 February 1938)? It says that pure cellulose is slightly soluble in pure water. Thanks for the help.
